Body Image, Food, & Exercise
Our relationship with our body, food, and movement can deeply impact how we see ourselves. When it’s shaped by shame, pressure, or unrealistic expectations, it can take a toll on our
self-esteem and wellbeing. You’re not alone - I'm here to help!
What I Help With:
I support individuals navigating the relationship they have with their body, food, and movement. These challenges may be shaped by shame, pressure, comparison, and rigid expectations, and can deeply impact self-esteem, identity, and overall wellbeing. Together, we can explore patterns and challenges such as chronic dieting, exercise guilt or burnout, body dissatisfaction, and the belief that worth is tied to appearance or productivity. Many people feel disconnected from their bodies, confused about how to trust themselves around food or movement, and overwhelmed by conflicting messages from diet culture and wellness spaces. Therapy can offer a supportive space to gently untangle these patterns, reduce shame, rebuild self-trust, and develop a more compassionate, sustainable relationship with food, your body, and sense of self.

Does any of the following resonate with you?
-
Feeling stuck in a cycle of dieting, food rules, or “starting over"?
-
Do you avoid certain foods, mirrors, clothes, or social situations because of how you feel about your body?
-
Experiencing guilt, anxiety, or shame after eating or missing workouts?
-
Is your self-worth closely tied to your body, weight, or appearance?
-
Do you struggle to set boundaries with diet culture, wellness messaging, or others’ expectations?
How I Can Help:

I offer a safe, nonjudgmental, and affirming space to explore your relationship with food, your body, and movement at your own pace. Whether you’re feeling stuck, frustrated, or disconnected from yourself, our sessions will be guided by your needs and goals. We will align actions with values, make connections between your thoughts, feelings, and actions, while working through how diet culture, comparison, and internalized beliefs have shaped your self-esteem, body image, and sense of worth. Therapy can support you in rebuilding trust in your body, setting healthier boundaries with food, exercise, and external pressures, and reconnecting with your own voice in a way that prioritizes care, balance, and wellbeing.
